Easter!! (and scrapbooking)

Yesterday was Easter. Thank the Lord for giving His Son, Jesus. Loving and serving Him, a risen Saviour, is what makes life worth living.
Unfortunatley, I had to work yesterday and missed church. Although I realize the awesomeness of the holiday and celebrate Jesus' resurrection, I don't feel that one missed Easter service will do me in. The reason is that I celebrate Jesus and His resurrection every day, in my normal life :)
I did get to have fun though after church, with the dinner and egg hunt. Really, it wasn't much of an egg hunt. The kids trapsed through the woods finding gifts, candy and bubbles. Peyton had a great time and so did we!

I also thought I would show some of my newest scrapbooking pages...I'll have to figure out a better way to get pictures of them though. And yes, these pictures are from 2006- I'm a bit behind, but I keep at it :) I just love the combo of the bright pink and green for a beach page, very unexpected I think. I also used transfers on these pages, my new favorite for white graphics.

  2. Cool scrapbook pages! Looks like y'all had a blast on Easter too! I've had our sports Easter baskets for a while now. I have to find a football one now!

  4. Hi - I didn't know how to contact you other than leaving a comment on your blog. I'm Erin @ mamacubedcreations.blogspot.com . The purse I made was featured on Sugar Bee - Craft Edition, and I saw your question about fabrics. Anything you find in a specialty quilt store is going to be good quality. My favorite brands right now are Moda, Michael Miller, and Riley Blake (which is made by Alpine Fabrics, I think). I have a few things on my blog made out of Michael Miller fabrics. I highly recommend looking at etsy to get an idea of what is out there for fabric - it's AMAZING! Have fun sewing - it love it.

  5. I love the colors you used on your scrapbook pages! I have really been a slacker about scrapping lately - you've inspired me to jump back in!

  6. Hi Kelly! I'm answering your question on the comment page because I wasn't sure how else to contact you. (Check out my post last week about replying to email comments, if you're interested!) Anyway, a few months ago I bought a Nikon D3000. It's one of the most basic SLR's. I haven't had any problems yet, and it's taking great pictures. The hard part is just learning how to use it!!
